Star Pack
A high-performance ring built around an internal star web that packs a large surface area and a high density of drip points into a high-void form for efficient absorption and stripping.
Star Pack is an XT (Xtreme) Series high-performance plastic packing built around an internal star-shaped web. The multi-point profile carries a large geometric surface area and a high density of edges and drip points, so liquid films are formed, sheared, and re-formed many times as fluid moves through the bed — the mechanism behind efficient mass transfer.
Because the open ring form keeps the void fraction high, Star Pack reaches that efficiency without the pressure-drop and capacity penalty of a denser packing, making it a capable choice for absorption, stripping, and scrubbing duties across a range of chemistries.
