Standard Saddles
Traditional ceramic saddles whose curved, non-nesting form gives good liquid distribution with the acid and high-temperature resistance of fired chemical porcelain.
Standard Saddles are M10’s OS (Old School) Series ceramic packing. The saddle form — with different radii of curvature on its two faces — spreads liquid well and, unlike a ring, will not nest or blind off when dumped, so it builds a uniform, open bed in random orientation.
Fired from chemical porcelain, ceramic Standard Saddles resist aggressive acids, solvents, and high temperatures that would attack metal or plastic. That makes them a long-proven choice for acid absorption and drying towers, thermal-oxidizer and hot-gas service, and other corrosive, high-temperature duties where corrosion and heat resistance are the deciding factors.
Key Features
- Curved saddle form spreads liquid and will not nest
- Excellent resistance to aggressive acids and solvents
- High-temperature capability well beyond plastics
- Fired chemical-porcelain construction
