Pall Rings

Random Tower Packing

The enduring metal standard — punched windows and inward tongues open the ring for higher capacity, lower pressure drop, and better redistribution than a Raschig ring.

Overview

Metal Pall Rings are the enduring standard in random packing. Rows of windows are punched into the wall of a thin metal ring and the displaced material is bent inward as tongues, opening the closed Raschig form to raise the void fraction, lower pressure drop, and repeatedly redistribute liquid through the bed.

M10’s OS (Old School) Series metal Pall Rings offer that proven, thoroughly documented performance in carbon steel, stainless, and exotic alloys. Versatile and economical, they remain a dependable choice across distillation, absorption, and stripping throughout the process industries.

Key Features

  • Punched windows and internal tongues open the ring
  • Higher capacity and lower pressure drop than Raschig rings
  • Thoroughly characterized with extensive published data
  • Carbon steel, stainless, and exotic alloy construction
