Gas-injection support plates and grid supports that carry the full weight of the packed bed while providing more open area than the packing above — so they never limit capacity.
A packing support has a demanding job: it must carry the entire weight of the packed bed and its liquid holdup, yet present more open area than the packing above it — otherwise the support, not the packing, becomes the flooding point. M10 designs gas-injection support plates that separate the rising vapor and falling liquid into distinct flow paths, delivering high effective open area and hydraulic capacity beyond that of the bed.
For large-diameter towers and deep beds we build heavy-duty grid and beam supports engineered for the full mechanical load. Every support is fabricated to the vessel and service in thermo-plastics or exotic alloys — including FRP, polypropylene, and titanium — and checked against the flooding margin so it carries the bed without ever choking capacity.
