Liquid Collectors

Between packed beds, liquid often needs to be collected — drawn off as a product, mixed and redistributed for the next bed, or returned as an intermediate feed. Liquid collectors gather the full liquid flow while letting vapor pass with minimal pressure drop. M10 designs chimney-tray (chuted) collectors and chevron collectors sized to the vessel and the flows they handle.

Collectors are frequently paired with a distributor below them so liquid is gathered, mixed to a uniform composition and temperature, and then evenly redistributed onto the next bed — a total- or partial-drawoff arrangement engineered to your process, in the material the service requires.
